A Lifetime of Local Leadership

August 2017 - Alysson forms the "Build the Barrier" grassroots group following the tragic death of two friends in a median crossover collision on Highway 401.  Alysson relentlessly lobbies the provincial government to construct a concrete median barrier along the 118kms of Highway 401 that still lacks one.  In February 2018 Minister of Transportation Kathryn McGarry credits Alysson's efforts while promising a 6-lane expansion plus concrete median barriers are finally coming to Chatham-Kent & Elgin County.
